BEST BROCCOLI EVER NO CAPS
One of broccoli’s most significant advantages is its nutrient content. It’s loaded with many vitamins, minerals, fiber, and other bioactive compounds. Broccoli also supports brain function and may help slow down the aging process (ok I am sold). When researching our friend broccoli, there are so many research and studies that support the positive health effects of broccoli; it’s wonder broccoli isn’t the number one food on the earth. Maybe people aren’t aware, but this veggie is on my top list for sure.
Roasted is my favorite way to cook these beautiful vegetables, and it helps preserve their nutrients. The best way to hold all of the broccoli goodness is eating is raw, but let’s roast it for today.
5 Ingredients and 27 minutes start to finish
1 Lemon [this will be used as the zest and juice]
Lemon Zest
Montreal Steak Seasoning
Avocado Oil
1 head Broccoli [cut into smaller trees]
Nutritional Yeast
This is super easy, I usually make a batch and place it on a pretty platter, and everyone will snack. Remember when cooking there is no super right or super wrong answer. It depends on what you like, so use more or less seasoning and nutritional yeast, it is up to you.
Instructions:
Preheat oven 400 degrees (make sure it is preheated before roasting the vegetables. This ensures crispness in your vegetable.
Take a rimmed baking sheet and line it with parchment paper
Evenly cut broccoli and toss in avocado oil. Sprinkle Montreal steak seasoning [can be substituted with coarsely ground black pepper, Himalayan saute, and garlic]
Add to the baking sheet in a single layer
Roast for 25 minutes or until you smell them
Remove from oven, add lemon zest, lemon juice, and nutritional yeast. Serve Immediately.
