Guac*a*mole

9 Ingredients and 5 minutes start to finish

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

  • 1 garlic clove minced

  • 1/2 Tablespoon fresh lime juice

  • 1/2 Tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2-4 Tablespoons chopped red onion or thinly sliced green onion

  • 1-2 Jalapeños chopped

  • 2 Tablespoons cilantro chopped or torn

  • 1/2 ripe tomato, chopped (optional)

Mash the avocado flesh:

Using a fork, roughly mash the avocado. (Doesn’t have to be super smooth, we all like a little chunky guacamole. right?)

Add remaining ingredients:

Sprinkle with garlic salt, lime, and lemon juice. Fold in the chopped tomato, onions, jalapenos, and cilantro.

Serve immediately!

Why add acid? The acid in the lime and lemon juice provides a nice balance to the richness of the avocados and helps delay the browning of the fruit.
