FIRE-CRACKerz
As you know, we like to publish healthy, plant-based recipes on our blog. However, this recipe is an oldie but a goodie. It is a staple at most of our socials, and I have adapted the recipe to be a little more healthy with homemade dry ranch mix. I got a call from a good friend in Seattle, Washington asking for this recipe last night requesting our home’s specialty. According to JS, ‘they changed the way I see crackers.’ I am not sure these dressed-up life-changing saltines are life-changing, but people do enjoy them. Believe it, these are entirely vegan-friendly. All base saltine crackers use essential ingredients: unbleached flour, baking soda, malted barley flour, and yeast—score 1 for Vegans everywhere.
4 Ingredients 20 minutes start to finish
1 1/2 sleeves of Saltine Crackers
1 cup oil
1 package dry ranch mix (see below for our version*)
2-3 Tab red pepper flakes
Instructions
Mix oil, ranch, and red pepper flakes together. Dredge saltine crackers in oil mix (make sure the cracker is fully covered with oil mix). Place on cooking pan. Bake 300 degrees 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy the compliments coming in about the 'CRACKerz.’ Goes with just about anything.
