Sauteed Shiitake Mushrooms

Shiitake mushrooms boost and support the immune system. According to WebMD compounds found in shiitake mushrooms protect against cell damage, help your immune system, and boost white blood cell production for fighting off microbes and help with inflammation.

Shiitake Mushrooms have a rich earthy flavor. One of the easiest mushrooms to cook with minimal ingredients.

ingredients

  • 3 lb shiitake mushrooms

  • 1 chopped onion (red or yellow work well)

  • 3 tbsp avocado oil

  • salt and pepper

  • 1/2 cup green onions chopped

instructions

Heat pan on high heat for a few minutes. Decrease to medium-high heat.

Add to the dry pan sliced, chopped, or whole shiitake mushrooms allow to cook for a few minutes-add oil and chopped onions on medium high heat.

Saute for 15 minutes, or until the shiitake mushrooms are golden brown. Season with salt and ground pepper.
